5. brittle nails
Nails are brittle, cracked, and break easily, which can also be a sign of iron deficiency anemia. If it gets worse, the shape of the nail can become like a spoon, where the tip of the nail rises or lifts while the center of the nail is flat. However, this is a rare symptom.
